Scott Drive AC Controllers

The Scott Drive family of AC Motor controllers is designed for use with both Permanent Magnet (PM) motors and AC Induction motors in traction applications where high power and compact size is critical. All controllers are water cooled and include integrated pre-charge circuitry and a high current/voltage DC Kilovac contactor. Onboard Ethernet makes it easy to configure and monitor all aspects of the controller operation for the extreme enthusiast.

The current range of controllers include three medium voltage controllers and one high voltage controller. The medium voltage controllers are designated SD100, SD200 and SD250 and have current ratings of 300 Arms, 450 Arms and 600 Arms respectively. These controllers are suitable for DC bus voltages up to 450 VDC. The new SD300 controller can operate from bus voltages as high as 900 VDC and deliver over 300 kW of power.

The SD100 is designed for small to medium sized vehicles up to ~1600kg (3500lbs) depending on continuous power rating of the motor and the desired performance level of the vehicle.

The SD200 is designed for medium sized vehicles up to ~2250kg (5000lbs) and for lighter vehicles requiring more sporty performance.

The SD250 is designed for medium to heavy vehicles and high performance sports cars. With a peak current rating of over 600A rms at 400V the SD250 can deliver 250kW of peak power.

The SD300 is designed for heavy vehicles and high performance sports cars. With a peak current rating of over 500A rms at 800V the SD300 can deliver over 300kW of peak power.
